The Great Pyramid At Giza

This is my model of the Pyramid at Giza: the most known Wonder of the Ancient World.  It was a tomb built by and for the Egyptian Pharaoh Kufu (or Cheops).  It was traditional for Egyptian Pharaoh's to build themselves giant tombs.  Kufu wanted to top all the other Egyptian tombs, so he designed what would be the tallest man-made structure for over 3,800 years and set his slaves to work building it.  It took Roughly 20 years to build and was built by dragging huge, perfectly cut, slabs of stones from a quarry and fitting them into their spots with unmatched precision.  The Pyramid used to have a layer of smooth limestone covering the stepped rock but it decayed over time.

It is the oldest standing wonder of the ancient world.

It is an amazing sight to behold.
